Saunders Batman cards.

Comics Alliance has posted a fantasticated gallery of Batman trading cards from 1966. The images were painted by Mars Attacks! artist, Norman Saunders.
There is something so fresh about Saunders' take on the superhero genre. The poses are sort of familiar to super hero fans, but they are also, somehow foreign and strange, and uncomfortable, and original.
Check out the gallery HERE.
Or the site they got it from HERE.
I heard about it from twentythoughts on Whitechapel.

Batman as a 1970's Eurocrime film.

This took a second to grow on me. I flipped at Klaus Kinski as The Joker.

Blond-Mustache man as Commissioner Gordon and Henry Silva as Two-Face are also perfect choices.

Killing Joke puppet show.

A stick puppet version of Batman: The Killing Joke, by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland.

The backdrop is super cool.

My wife is in Mexico, so you are on your own in translating the project's description.

Really cool.

Lord Death Man by Sam Mickens

Death Man was a Batman villain who menaced the Dark Knight and Robin in Batman #180. A couple of months later Death Man became Lord Death Man and popped up in Japan's manga version of Batman.

More recently, Lord Death Man appeared in Grant Morrison's Batman Inc.
Now, Lord Death Man, master of secret yoga resurrection techniques, has his own theme song courtesy of Sam Mickens.
