Chip Kidd: Designing books is no laughing matter. OK, it is.

I can't start posting TED Talks videos. They would take over the site, I've never seen a bad one. But, Chip Kidd, holds a special place in my heart.

His Plastic Man - Jack Cole book with Art Spiegelman was a huge influence on me. It's funny to look at it now. I feel like it was Kidd's punk rock, crazy ass phase. His Peanuts book and various Batman books are all incredible. He is the Pele of book cover design. He looks and acts like a 1920's version of The Riddler. He's a champion of the world.

The talk is pretty darn interesting as well.
