We had the Toxic Avenger musical and the Evil Dead musical. Last weekend Re-Animator: The Musical, opened in Los Angeles. Lucky bastards.
The play runs through March 27th at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood.
The wonderful twist is that Stuart Gordon, director of the 1985 splattertastic film is directing and producing the play. Stuart brought along the special gore f/x team from the original film as well. The project's website warns theater goers that the first few rows are considered a "splash zone." Sounds like they didn't wimp out on the gore. Yay!
